And the fact that he apparently wasn't disciplined is why cops are losing respect, whether it's right or not.

Edit: If the public could see that police departments take out-of-line behavior by their own seriously, respect would follow, and cops would behave with respect, decency, and proper authority.

When they get no discipline for stepping over the line, what are we supposed to think?
