Debunk the Spin: Reporters were running all around the city from day 1

To those who say "They couldn't get in - there was too much water or that it was too dangerous my answer is:

"If Geraldo Rivera and Anderson Cooper were in the city day after day running around interviewing people WHY couldn't the national guard, and FEMA get in?"

Geraldo was in the freaking Convention Center interviewing people - supposedly the most dangerous spot in the city. If Geraldo Rivera can manage go in there - why is it too dangerous for the National Guard or the police?

They turned away a truckload of 20 cops from Virginia with food and water - telling them it was too dangerous to go in.

I have to say - much as you hate Geraldo - he is one of the gutsiest people around.
