The truth is that he voted for the war and has blood on his pathetic politician hands. The truth is that he still supports the occupation. The truth is that he's suddenly realized that the political winds have changed direction and it's now safe to criticize the way the war he voted for is being conducted.
As for Murtha's "plan" I back it in so far as getting the troops out of Iraq. I oppose moving them to another country other than the USA.
As for "winning in '08" I'll be voting for the anti-war candidate, no matter what party.
