His purpose is to whip all those fundy Calvinists into a self righteous freanzy and increase his ratings, not to tell the truth or to make corrections when he's caught in a real whopper.
I understand the school district is now suing because fielding the phone calls from fundy nutcases all over the country has run into serious money.
Maybe when that bastard gets socked in the wallet enough times, he'll tone it down..... Nah.
