It is not "politicizing" something to go after legitimate wrongs. The memo does not speak of manufacturing wrongs to tar the administration with. It says: "we have an important role to play in revealing the misleading, if not flagrantly dishonest, methods and motives of senior administration officials who made the case for unilateral pre-emptive war."

The Republicans on the committee may differ in that characterization, but that is why there is a bipartisan committee. This is not "politicizing" any more than any properly functioning part of our political system is.

It is as much, if not moreso, a case of "politicizing" for Republicans on the committee to ignore the White House's role in these matters. The White House, after all, was the driving force for starting this war, and the clearing house and final judge for all intelligence gathered pertaining to Iraq.
