I'm stating legal facts and realities about a subject that I am familiar with. I don't defend the behavior, if true. I said that a libel suit is unlikely for two reasons. First, as you said, truth is a defense and A.S. would have little to gain from giving his accusers a public forum to which they would otherwise have no access and, second, A.S. has zero financial motivation for a lawsuit (the usual reason for going to court).

As for investigating the investigators, that's putting the cart before the horse since there isn't even a suggestion that they have done anything wrong and, as someone who has, on occasion, had reason to use investigators, I very much doubt that a good firm will put themselves or their client in anything approaching a compromising position. There won't be any intimidation or obstruction. Most likely, the investigation will include a great deal of tedious paperwork and public records reviews and very little, if any, direct contact with any of the accusers.

As for me defending Democrats, I do that all the time. It just so happens that you don't like any of them. On the bright side, we do have our common ground. Neither of us likes Pat Buchanon. Ah, the memories of your warm post supporting me in my attacks against him still bring a smile to my face . . .
