And this truth is only midly exaggerated. From going AWOL during Vietnam to demonstrable vote fraud to lying the nation into war to the collusional no-bid contracts...any one of which would have had Clinton in an orange jumpsuit (and rightfully so) ...it is quite easy to envision this scenario coming off exactly as it is.

As I am fond of saying, with their Party-Loyal Right-Wing Sub-Media and the parasitized Corporate TV Pravda that dances to their tune, there is no truth so pristine, so factually demonstrable, that it couldn't be obfuscated, and conversely there is no lie that couldn't be laundered, sanitized, and turned into "conventional wisdom".

The whole lying infrastructure, which consists of much more than I have laid out, which I call Goebbels v2.0 (much improved from v1.0, which itself was quite effective), is the most powerful Proganda Machine the Human Race has ever seen, empowered as it it with 60 years of progress in psychology, marketing, advertising and public relations.

Democrats have moderated their replies out of just such fear for so long and where has it gottewn all of us? Entrapped in the equivalent of the Matrix. And the assertion that Bush could appear on the White House steps and admit everything and get away with it isn't much of a stretch, after all I've seen.
