We're supposed to take his policies on faith because he knows in his heart that he's doing the right thing, with God's guidance. Convenient escape hatch.

It's also the prettiest veneer he can put on what really happened in Florida. He knows he didn't get into the WH through his own talents or a fair election. But saying that God made it happen sounds so much better than "I got fewer votes and then my cronies cheated for me," doesn't it?
