So where's my ice floe? [View All]

Apparently I am a mean bitter old lady who has my hand out for entitlements that I don't deserve because of making bad decisions in my life.

I should get a job or open my own business so that they don't have to pay for anymore Social Security or Medicare out of their checks. So I guess I should shoot the old guy and then myself so we are no longer a burden on society.

May I please beg to tell you that for my sixty-three years I have not only supported myself, but worked sometimes two jobs to make ends meet and help support others who couldn't.

I have worked hard to help improve the environment so that later generations would have clean air and water.

I have voted my conscience in every election since I was old enough to vote so that later generations would have a better life than we who have been through so many wars.

I have done my very best to plan for my and the old guys old age but sometimes fate throws you a curve ball and all the planning in the world can go haywire with just a couple of unexpected disasters.

However, I guess we are not even entitled to get back what we put into all our lives into Social Security and Medicare because we have become obsolete and societal parasites.
