2. I saw Clark on David Letterman last night.
I seldom watch TV, so this is the first live views I've seen of any of the candidates. I thought Clark came across as a little bit phony, but not enough to make a really big impression. He struck me as a clean cut guy who wants to make a splash in politics and knows how to play the game - including mincing words when necessary.

I thought Letterman was a little unfair, calling attention to two or three embarrassments - I think he referenced someone who had said Clark lacked character, and he suggested that Clark had waffled on his Gulf War stance. I wished Lettermand had dumped on Bush more.

Based on my incomplete knowledge of the candidates, Kucinich is my favorite. But I'd like to see him accompanied by either Howard Dean or Clark. It's a tough choice - Dean cuts a powerful swath, but Clark has the military credentials to shoot down Bush's phony war against terrorism.

I wish Lieberman and Gephardt would crawl into a hole with Dick Cheney.
