27. Here is what happened.
On our way to Tennessee we were stopped and asked if all of us had photo ID to show the officers. My grandfather, a lawyer, asked why not just check my ID? The trooper's answer, anyone crossing state lines is required to carry state ID on them proving they are who they claim to be. Thankfully my grandfather and I both had our licenses, but this was a first for me. The only time I have been stopped and checked for my lincense was when I was driving too fast, not for being a passenger. Later, in Tennessee, my Aunt explained that this had also happened to her. She was told by the Tennessee patrol office, when renewing her own license, that her kids would need photo ID's if they were going to be driven across state lines. I would not have believed her, if it had not happened to us on the way up there.

I am wondering if there is a law, or if this is another corrupt act of the wonderful State Patrols. The state patrol has broken the law before when working across state lines to setup unlawful speed traps. Later the head of the state patrol was sacked by Zell Miller, an action Tom Murphy didn't care for.
