Who wants to talk about "The Day After Tomorrow" (there will be spoilers)

I have to say it! I loved the movie, but definately NOT because of the acting (the script tended to be on the corny side). But I thought there were great special effects and the subtile messages against the US government gave you a great laugh.

I thought the guy playing the Vice President came off like a Dick Cheney, but Perry King definately didn't seem like a George Bush (if King was really suppose to be like Bush - he would have left DC 5 minutes after a few snowflakes started instead of waiting until the very last minute).

I saw the movie twice and there were 2 scenes that the crowd really had a great laugh. The first was when Mexico shut down its borders refusing any refugees from USA. Then they showed all these Americans breaking down the fence and crossing the Rio Grande illegally.

Then the second scene was when Mexico finally opened up the borders to American Refugees, but only if the US forgave all Latin American Debts. The audience was laughing their asses off with that scene.

Anyone else have comments about the movie??
