TENSION RELIEVER - My funny Dan Quayle/CSPAN story
Advertisements [?]
Many years ago CSPAN had Dan Quayle's campaign advisor on. I guess it must have been during the second Bush I campaign. Anyway, I called and told the producer that I wanted to ask if Dan Quayle was going to run for president in 2000. But I lied.

What I REALLY asked him when I was live on the air was this:
"I read a story in High Times magazine about a guy who said he used to sell Dan Quayle POT! Is it true?!"

The moderator asked, "What magazine, caller?"
I repeated, "High Times!"

He grinned and then they hung up on me. Then Quayle's campaign advisor casually denied the whole thing.

But here's the funny part - for the next HOUR caller after called said how they thought I was right, Quayle MUST be on drugs to be that dazed and stupid! The campaign advisor was getting SO PISSED! I ruined the whole thing for the guy, and I've been laughing my ass off about it for well over ten years!
