What the hell is up with my dog, Stella? [View All]

She waits down the hall while I get her breakfast ready-dry food and canned food. She comes when I call her, wagging her tail, smiling, looking up at me with her head in that dipped-down 'I did something naughty' position (she didn't though) then I tell her "OK. Go. Good Dog. Now. Sweet. Eat. Go Ahead" I am trying to find that MAGIC WORD. "Please."

After all that and I am no where near her food, she grabs a chunk, runs down the hall with it and eats it there. She repeats for as many chunks I managed to cut her food into.

Now if we take a walk first, she heads straight for the bowl and eats from there, no probs.

Anyone know WTF she's doing here? I won't yell at her for the food thing-I want her to be relaxed and comfy when she's eating-but I've never seen this done repeatedly by a dog.
