61. Fair questions.
I can't think of a single colleague of mine who would prescribe a drug to a 'young stud' who wished them. First of all, anyone under 18? Forget it. Second of all, most ED is a co-morbid disease. In other words, men don't get ED by itself, (usually). They get it as a result of another disease, usually ones that affect the vascular system such as DM, or NIDDM, cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, chronic hypertension, chronic kidney failure.

Anyone of those diseases can cause ED. Most of the individuals with ED are elderly, but the ads are trying to encourage even those who are in their 50s and have lowered testosterone to seek help rather than sit and stew and get angry at their spouses.

For a man who has enjoyed a long and satisfying sex life with his wife or partner to suddenly or over a period of time be rendered incapable of that is devastating. I have seen elderly men in nursing homes, in wheelchairs, in diapers who are still of the mind set that they are attractive to the little old lady sitting across from them. It's part of what makes us human beings. The desire to be loved and to love.
