Most of your apologies have sounded like your reply to me - you grudgingly admit your OP was phrased inelegantly and then get in one last little jab at the people who, for lack of better phrasing, "called you on it." Your overall tone is still defensive and combative, and that could be why people are still "dogging your tail."

I'm not saying any of this to attack you or make you the bad guy or whatever - on the contrary, I can see this was all just a big misunderstanding. My ultimate point is, it is a misunderstanding that could have been cleared up 60 posts ago with less defensiveness and more civility on both sides - yes, other people could have been more polite in voicing their dissent with you, but you too must share some of this blame, which I think you realize for the most part. Sometimes it's as simple as a humble "ok guys, I fucked up. I'm sorry." There's certainly no shame in admitting you phrased something wrong - anyone who says they never mangle their words is a liar.

Well, I'm outta here, I hope at least people can use this thread as a learning experience and perhaps learn that a little bit of humility, decorum, and consideration goes a long way. And no that comment is not directed solely at you, but rather at the entire thread. Peace.
