Stripping down women to promote ever new movie, tv show, car, gadget and game is sexist. The fact that women are judged based on whether or not they strip down, or whether or not people (men) would want them to strip down is sexist.
No argument from me there.
The OP was presenting a opinion of her appearance, whether anyone agrees or disagrees. It was an aesthetic opinion. Nothing more. The response brought in judgements of her talent, her career, her management of her career, etc. and wrapped those in with her appearance. Suddenly because she supposedly looks mediocre, somehow she now ACTS mediocre, and manages her career mediocre except that other people (more capable than her) manage it for her.
There is a huge difference between the simple aesthetic opinion of the OP and the judgments that followed.
