My first rant about working retail...
Advertisements [?]
Ok, for the most part, not much pisses me off...yet. This surprises me greatly since I thought I would hate it (since I really did when I was a youngster). I can laugh off those of you who adamantly REFUSE to give me your zip code, even after I explain it is for demographic reasons only. "Dude, I don't have ESP. You paid in cash. I can't track you down." - no I don't say that. I don't care if it takes you 10 minutes to find your change or write out your check (the people behind you are another story). It doesn't bug me that you want to try to use 15 different coupons from three different stores to buy two items. Whatever...

But please, please, please CUT OUT YOUR DAMN COUPONS YOURSELF.

I can't tell you how annoying it is when they hand me the whole damn store flier and expect me to cut out the coupon while ringing up their purchase. Do they do this at the grocery store as well? Hand the cashier the Sunday paper and expect them to cut out all the coupons for them? It would never have crossed my mind to do this at a store, even before I worked at one. I cut the older folks some slack. And yes, I try to be mindful that others may have a physical reason for not cutting them out. But really, the other 95% of you are just rude!
