someone broke into my home last night, while I was asleep

They got a few things: my stereo, my MP3 collection on an exterior disk drive, my Macbook, my work laptop (gov't property), and worst of all, my Fender Stratocaster. I've had that guitar since 1992, and I've recorded one CD and one EP with it with my band, as well as writing a couple dozen songs on it. That guitar outlasted my marriage and lived with me in several places.

I had just restored it a few months back and was getting used to playing it again. Now some asshole is pawning it for crack. At least there's some solace: the shitheels grabbed the $300 Mexican Strat, and completely ignored the $500 Cordoba flamenco guitar, and the $800 Godin Multiac guitar that were right next to it, in their gig bags, ready to go. Oh, and I got the stereo a couple months ago at Best Buy for $80. Nice grab, dicknoses.

What's worse is the fact that they were in my house, nosing around, while I was asleep. I've never had that happen before. I heard some noise right before I got up at 3:00 and found out, but nothing major.

Criminals are some stupid fuckers.
