District 9: perhaps the WORST movie I have ever seen
Advertisements [?]
It may be #1 this week, but I bet next week it will drop like rock. Word of mouth is going to kill this movie. Had I not been taken by friends I would have walked out. Had I been watching this movie on dvd I would have ejected it after half an hour. I go to movie like I thought this one would be like to be entertained. (Did anyone go to the Lord of the Ring movies or even King Kong to discover some deep meaning or message in the films?). There was not a single character, particularly the main character that I cared at all what happened to them.

I give it 2 big thumbs down and I am usually quite generous about movies. I am very disappointed that Peter Jackson would associate himself with this film. If you like it, fine, but it my opinion--it sucked, and I didn't pay a dime to see it. Add to all of this a half hour before the movie started consisted of watching commercials, commercials about tv shows, and then the coming previews for the next 3 years.
