I have used a duct cleaning service twice.

It will not put any dirt into the air, and you will not have to clean your carpets.

They will park a big truck in front of your home that has a huge vacuum in it.

They will then drill some holes into your ducts at strategic locations. These holes are about one inch in diameter, and they will later be plugged with plastic caps.

They insert wire brushes into the holes to loosen debris that is inside your ducts. They also go in with these brushes through the heat vents and cold air returns.

After they do this, they run a huge cloth hose from the truck vacuum to your ducts, and suck out everything that is in there.

All of the debris goes into the truck vacuum, and none of it will spill into the air.

You will be surprised how much crap will come out of your ducts.
