Let's say it's the World Series, NBA Finals, Super Bowl or some type of NCAA championship. Let's also say in the case of the pro teams, you have a player who is a free agent, or in the case of either the NCAA or pro teams, a coach who is at the end of his contract.

Now one team wins the championship, and there is pandemonium, and the TV reporters rush to the locker room to interview the winning teams and their stars. What is the first damn question that they ask of the free agent players and/or coaches in the locker room?

"So will you be returning to the (team name) next year?"

Which of course never elicits a clear answer from the player/coach (their agent no doubt told them to be coy when asked the question). But you would think that the little blow-dried, tousled hair reporter could allow the team's fans 5 minutes, just a precious 5 minutes, to enjoy their championship before bringing up business and contract matters?

For a fan like me who has seen countless favorite teams of mine destroyed by free agency in the past, this is especially frustrating.
