1. What was the one thing you did in 2010 that made you happiest?
On a superficial level, the news that they're making a new Godzilla movie in 2012. On a serious level, visiting a close friend that I hadn't seen in years.
2. What was the one thing you did in 2010 that made you think "What the *#%^ was I thinking?"
Too many to keep track of. But not seeing a doctor for a seriously messed up arm for months would probably be at the top of it. When you're using your right hand to grab and move your left arm and can't move it at all without excruciating pain you should probably see a doctor. I ignored it, like a bozo.
3. What was your favorite item you purchased this year?
No one item, just music in general.
4. What item do you regret wasting money on owning?
Nothing. I'm amazingly frugal and have few possessions. The ones I do have I'm happy about.
5. Was there any missed opportunities this year? What was it?
Too personal, next?
6. What was your favorite movie from 2010?
Aftershock, a Chinese movie that was superb. It starts with the earthquake in Tangshan, China back in 1976 that killed 240,000 people. In the movie, a mother's two children are trapped in the rubble under a huge slab of concrete. If the rescuers move it to save the son it will kill the daughter. If they move it to save the daughter it will kill the son. Under pressure to choose one or the other she decides to save her son, but unknown to her the daughter hears her choice and survives. The movie follows 40 years of their lives and the effect that decision had on all three.

Easiest pick in years for me. Deathspell Omega - Paracletus. A ton of awesome music this year, but this was head and shoulders above it all for me.
8. Were you able to keep any of your New Years resolution from the beginning of the year? What was it?
I don't make any.
9. If you could repeat 2010 again what is one thing you would have done differently?
Another that's too personal.
10. If you could pick the person to be "TIME Magazine's Person of the Year" who would you pick and why?
Any and all cancer survivors.
