On Bravo a few weeks ago, this incredibly graphic commercial about the horrors of meat processing was in heavy rotation. They showed all these animals - pigs, cows, chickens - getting butchered in the kind of graphic detail you get from reading 'Fast Food Nation.' The commercial then went on to advocate for vegetarianism.

And then I hear Baldwin, just tonight, do the voice-over for an SUV commercial. Am I wrong in thinking there is an odd lack of consistency here - going from a really hardcore lib/left/progressive message (and this argument does fall on the left end of the spectrum; I've never met any righties who think meat is murder) that you'd think meant he was on board, to selling SUVs.

It just struck me funny. I'm trying to think about anything besides poll numbers, turnout and swing-state weather forecasts. Once this Baldwin tangent loses its powers of distraction, I'm probably going to sit down and read the Rules of Poker at the top of my lungs until I pass out. It's either that or relentless masturbation, and I bruise easily.
