17. That's the question I want to ask all these people

who see the Virgin Mary anytime a mundane object happens to display markings or images that even look remotely like a woman's face.

How did that owner of the cheese sandwich "know" it was the face Mary, instead of say, some random middle eastern female basket weaver?

How does this fish stick collector know this is Jesus, instead of say, some random 60's hippie?

Why is it that when faces "appear", people always jump to the conclusion that it MUST be an image associated with divine Christian characters, and nothing else?

Of course, why people insist on anything "divine" being the cause of images that are only seen because of the natural tendency of humans to see and recognize objects out of abstract shapes is beyond me.

Hey - once my four year old didn't feel like eating all of his peanut butter sandwich, and lo and behold, the leftover part of the sandwich was a shape remarkably similar to the shape of the state of Georgia (really - this happened). Geez - to think I could have made some money off that instead of letting my kid eat it later...

On edit: Does this person really feel that the (supposed) SON OF GOD decided of all the ways he could communicate with people, with all of the means at his diposal, that the most effective medium would be a fish stick?
