What's everyone doing for Christmas or other winter holidays?

I'm really curious how everyone plans to cope with the winter holidays, in the aftermath of this disastrous election?

I'm just thinking about how I'll be spending my holiday season, since I'm a college student and I'll have 5 weeks of free time on my hands once my semester ends.

The 24th/25th/26th will be a bit of escapism for me...Christmas presents...seafood dinner...seeing extended relatives...and spending some alone time...

But mostly, I'll be thinking about politics and what to do next.

I plan on reading several political (biographical) books (which I will hopefully be receiving for Christmas). And planning grassroots, Internet-based strategy for 2008.

Still, in the back of my mind, I'll be wondering if I can truly enjoy my Christmas holiday, given the fact that I'm very scared about what's ahead for this country over the next two years.

Does anyone else feel the same way? How do you plan on coping during the holidays?

I have a feeling I'll be spending some time staring out the window, watching the snow fall, and thinking. I guess I'll be hoping for an epithany.
