From the mouth of the comedian:

"When I was six or seven, I figured out the truth about Santa Claus. I was determined to see Santa Claus come in during the night so I hid behind the sofa, tried not to fall asleep and watched to see what would happen. Sure enough, at about 10PM or 11PM, I saw my parents come down and put the presents under the stocking. I knew the truth about Santa Claus then.
When school resumed, we had a show and tell session. All the kids in class stood up and presented their latest Christmas gifts from Santa. Finally I stood up and announced to the class that Santa Claus was not real
There was a stunned silence and the kids were disbelieving. One boy in particular stood up and accused me of lying. He said that he knew that I was lying because he had asked Santa for a bike and a bike had appeared under the Christmas tree on Christmas Day for him.
So I turned to him and said
"I'm telling you the truth-there is no Santa Claus. I've discovered who really puts all the gifts in all the stockings of children throughout the globe -it's my mom and dad!"
