43. Larkspur is the name of a wildflower
She is a Belgian Malinois. They are work dogs usually and not pets. They are very one person people; meaning they are very skittish around others even other family members. Larkspur is the exception which caused her to not be a good work dog. We get our dogs, almost exclusively Malinois, from a breeder friend of ours in San Antonio. We used to have her cousin, but she died of old age. She was definitely not good around people and simply wanted to work but she was injured, broken back, and lost control of one leg. So we took her in at six years of age.

We've had Larkspur since she was about 1 1/2 years old.
