If you want to argue the merits of the politics, there are many fora here in which you can do that.

The article is about how the blacklist has failed as a tool, become a laughingstock and people actually want to get on it.

Here's the bottom line: The article is about the irony, the failures and the inherent humour in the list. The article is not about the merits of NRA, gun control, theories of self-defense, sedition and government.

In simpler words, the article is about the list. Your statements are about the politics of the issue. These are widely differing subjects.
