The program director of KRLA Radio in L.A. wants me to send him a tape

Imagine my surprise when I got home from work this evening, only to find this e-mail waiting for me:

I'd like to hear a sample hour of one of your shows. Can you send me one?

So I went to the websites for the five stations listed above. The two FMs have gospel/religious formats, two of the AMs are news/talk, and the third AM broadcasts multicultural programing in several different languages.

Which makes me wonder why this guy is interested in hearing a sample hour of my college radio show, which features lesser-known soul music of the '60s and '70s?

Ah, what the hell. I'll send the guy a tape and see what he says. Who knows, maybe he's just nostalgic for the music he grew up with!
