So, I'm looking for work abroad right now. I'm a journalist, in broadcast, but I have done print.
Since age 14 I've wanted to work in the U.K./Ireland. And I'm finally in the position to do so. However, at the same time, it seems the only gigs I see on job boards there are for print journalists. I would do the print, but I'm worried that by doing so I'll be taking a step back in my broadcast career.
I wouldn't want to come back and be shunned by the broadcast outlets because I've spent the last two years, or whatever, working in print. And I don't want to come back as a mid level journalist, especially since my career has been going well and I've recently been asked to be a regualar guest on a popular talk show.
So what say you... should I take a print gig or hold out for a broadcast one...or should I staty here?
