I've only been to California once, actually twice... One day I had a twelve hour layover in LAX enroute to Japan (does that count?). Then on the return flight I actually got to see the freeway from LAX to Camp Pendleton where I spent six days while being separated from the Marines. Then I was privileged to see the San Diego airport.
I've been all over the world (four continents, eighteen countries and crossed two global lines: the Arctic Circle and the Equator), but never to the western regions of the US. I've been from Nova Scotia to Miami, but westward I've only made as far as Hattiesburg, MS, and Louisville, KY.
