remember the old movies set "in the year 1989?"

early space age circa 1953 when the "housewife" could do everything around the house with one appliance?

dystopic visions of humanity? (the omega man/soylent green)?

the ramifications of the generation gap and the encroachment of computers and what the ill effect that was supposed to have on humanity?

red dawn soviet invasion?

limited nuclear war a la streiber and kunetka's "warday?"

total nuclear devastation?

which one do you wish would have come true?
