Is that the women who do this have been taught to believe that a woman cannot function without a man in their lives to support them, tell them what to do, be the leader of the household, et al. The corollary is that a woman without a man is nothing. Thus, they see one of their primary roles as a mother as teaching their daughters how to attract and keep male attention: never going out of the house (or, out of the bedroom) without your "face" (i.e., makeup caked on an inch thick) on, wearing shoes that make your legs good as opposed to being comfortable, always being solicitous and never talking too much about yourself, and dressing with some skin showing.

These woman have an incredibly skewed idea of what male-female relationships should be.
