Other classic Britcoms have been mentioned. I'd recommend "Chef"--Lenny Henry goes nuts as amusingly as John Cleese. And "Blackadder" for the history buffs. "Red Dwarf" for the science fiction fans. Plus "The Young Ones" for the totally deranged.
The British TV "season" is much shorter than ours. That means that relatively few episodes of our faves are available. However, it also ensures that there is less "filler."
