Mine is from MS, not arthritis, but my recommendation is the same. Avoid MS! (Yeah, like i flirted with it, right?)

Bad part: Painkillers work by helping to block some synaptic interfaces from the source of pain to the brain. In my case, the pain isn't really in the legs! It's already in the brain. So, painkillers are useless. But, whachagonnadu!
