5. Senior year of high school.
I knew a few people from her school and went to a party w/ them at her house (out of town). One girl was acting rather nasty in front of everyone. She had stolen another girl's boyfriend and was "gratifying" him right there in the middle of the room. I was trying to cut my way through the crowd-I'd been in the bathroom w/ the now ex-girlfriend all night long, wiping away her tears. B_ got there first,grabbed the girl by the back of the head and slammed her head down into "something". We each saw rage in the others eyes and, for some reason, knew we were kindred spirits.

It's been nearly fifteen years and we are closer than ever. We've shared good times and bad times together and are each others rocks, shoulders to cry on and secret keepers. We can go for months w/o having the chance to speak yet will be there for each other w/ just one phone call-just by the tone of voice we know we are needed. And we will both drop everything to get to the other.
