• No worries about "minutes" or "overage" or "rollover," or, especially, "20-page contracts that need a communications lawyer to interpret."

• No worries about being "in the zone."

• No worries about some asspipe with a scanner monitoring my calls.

• No worries either way about long distance rates, as I make few long-distance calls.

• No worries about being seen as another person glued to a cell phone.

• No need for one unless I blow a fuel pump or head gasket in the middle of nowhere. That's why there's one in my truck — pre-paid — and that's why it rarely gets used.

"Excuse" was a poor choice of words, dude, and some of the "excuses" you listed offend me. Get over your high-tech self.
