He did a bunch of seriously twisted art, including the cover of ELP's Brain Salad Surgery, the inner fold of a Dead Kennedys album (over which they got sued for obscenity and won the case, but they had to fork over so much money to defend themselves that they had to disband), and the sets for the film version of Dune. Whenever he does a female figure, like this, it tends to resemble an old girlfriend of his who killed herself. I don't think it's Medusa specifically, just some random succubus-cyborg. He's really big into biomechanical creatures (which I suspect was what ELP saw in him-- he should've done the Tarkus artwork).
