My father's surgery is tomorrow AM at 7:30. I am trying to get over the feelings of anger over the ineptitude of the scheduling dept that made the mistake that pushed his surgery back today...and I'm trying not to compare that to what happened to dear Andy.

Your thoughts, prayers, meditations...and just acting like the goofy crew you always are have helped immensely in getting me through these past few weeks feeling as normal as possible. Thank you. Tonight, I sit here feeling decidedly not normal. I feel as if I am sitting on the edge of nothing. One move, and everything could end up horribly wrong.

I've spent a lot of time with my dad the past couple of weeks... He got his will together, his power of attorney and his advanced directive. That was good in a bad way. He took my son fishing... He went for a drive with my daughter. I am only left hoping that these will not be the last memories they have of their Poppy.

I'll be gone for (hopefully only a few) days. But I carry all of those good thoughts, the care and concern with me.

Thanks again you guys. You've done more than you will ever know.

Tonight, I'm going to hang out here for a while. Tomorrow I'm going to fret...but I have a feeling it will all be okay. I'll bring my laptop and let you (those who wish to) know how it goes.
