You are a lovely, intelligent, funny woman (from what I've seen on DU), so do not, under any circumstances, no matter what kind of hideous relationship ugliness you've gone through in the past year, do not undervalue yourself as a person generally, and as a woman specifically.
What he's done is a textbook definition of projection, and it hurt you in the process. I'd run like the wind if I were you.
Being alone may suck, but it's still FAR preferable to ending up with a headcase or any other subset of "unhealthy jerk."
