So is Mel Gibson's latest film about the Beach Boys?

Because I just saw an ad for it, and Jesus appears to have been a dead ringer for Dennis Wilson. He looks a hell of a lot more like a hippy surfer from Hawthorne, CA, than a carpenter from the middle east of 2000 years ago.

Don't scientists think Jesus looked something like this?



Then why do they keep getting Wonder-bread haoles to play him? Jim Caviezel may be a good actor, but he looks about as much like Jesus as one of the Osmond brothers, even with make-up. He looks as unbelievable as that blue-eyed, honey-blonde goof that plays Jesus on the TBN commercials.

I'm sorry, but this kind of thing burns me up. I was expecting so much more.
