28. ITA Blue! I visited Juneau and cried on the plane going home...
got a call from a friend not three months later asking if I knew anyone who'd move up and split rent in Anchorage. I told them, "give me three months to get my stuff in order and I'll be there." That was winter 96.

When I had my first son we moved back to the lower 48 for a while but moved back up here again in late 07, not moving again. We're here for good.

The crazy politics makes it fun. Living in the valley is kinda on the weird side with Palmer being laid back and Wasilla wishing it were bible central. Still, I live on a lake and the thought of moving makes my skin crawl. It's all worth it.
