Romero-esque - The recent dead will reanimate, and and living person bitten by a zombie will become infected and turn into a zombie. Zombies are slow moving, have incredibly low intelligence, and hunger for all types of human flesh. The root cause is of the zombie outbreak is undetermined but though to be related to a radioactive satellite. Zombies can be killed by destroying their brain.

Russo/O'Bannon-esque - Zombies are brought to life through physical contact with Trioxin in gaseous or liquid form. Zombies are fast moving, intelligent, and hunger only for human brains. The root cause of the outbreak is an experimental substance that is accidentally released. Zombies are incredibly difficult to kill. A zombie must be either completely physically dismembered, burned, or electrocuted. Burning only furthers the outbreak by releasing the Trioxin gas.

Brooks-ian - Zombies are brought to life through being bitten by another zombie. Zombies are slow moving, have incredibly low intelligence, and consume all living organisms. The root cause of the outbreak is unknown, but zombies have been around for centuries. Zombies can be killed by destroying their brain.
