Some of us do not see a problem with criminals getting extra holes in them while they are committing a crime.
Whether he was armed or not is really irrelevant. Once he made the choice to break into someone's home, he was gambling with his life.
Was it a "righteous shoot"? Thats for the grand jury to decide, but the fact that the homeowner has not been arrested is a pretty strong indication that the cops and the DA don't believe he did anything illegal.
