1. Earlier you wrote that Israel should have just tried refuting the charges - but it appears you realize that's nonsense as it's nearly impossible to refute a negative - such as "I hear you have sex with little boys, now refute that".

2. You've also written that a shot against the IDF does not translate as a shot against all Jews - and while I'd like to believe that's true, history proves it's false. Only a few Jews were accused of killing Jesus and that translated to all - only a few Jews were accused of poisoning wells and that translated to all - same for killing christian children for their blood in matza - same for a few elders of zion - and now same for the IDF, the Israeli govt, settlers, some Jews owning the media, some Jews in the lobby, etc...

This story follows along the same lines and sadly brings about the worst for other Jews totally unrelated - but that's history for you.

3. Letting this story go is to put Jews in the situation they were in before a state of Israel existed - when Jews were guests of their countries and had to rely on others to protect them (and they did a very bad job). They had no voice and felt they could not really speak up out of fear. Maybe you haven't noticed, but in the last 60 years Jews now have a voice and are fed up with all this antisemitic garbage - and will no longer go silently into the night just "taking it".

Jews don't like taking shit anymore and will defend themselves...and it seems many people don't like that.
