Avenging President Gore

I said this in another thread, but what the hey, I'll post it here too.

When my wife and I go vote today, we are voting for Kerry for many, many good reasons which I don't have to go into here. Many here have made the case for Kerry more eloquently than I ever could, and I have nothing further to add.

However, all things being equal, the number one impetus for our votes today is to AVENGE the injustice perpetrated four years ago against the rightful president, Al Gore.

Bush supporters like to justify the theft of the election by positing the rhetorical question, "Can you imagine if Al Gore had been president during 9-11?" Yes, I can imagine it. He would have kept his focus on the real issues and not used it as an excuse to invade Iraq. In other words, if he had been president during 9-11, he would be running for re-election based on his successes in dealing with it, not exploiting voter fear to distract people from a record rife with ideological extremism and failed foreign policies.

Today we will prove that we NEVER forgave the Supreme Court, James Baker, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, and the other assorted cast of characters who illegitimately shoehorned Bush into the office that Al Gore rightfully won. Since that day, Al Gore has proven again and again that he won the popular vote for a reason, and this has only helped to illuminate the level of the injustice that was perpetrated against him and against us four long years ago.

So, today is the day of reckoning. Today we vote Governor Bush OUT. Today we avenge Al Gore. He deserves it, and if Kerry wins
the election tonight, I hope Gore can take some comfort from it, as well as a whole lot of vindication.
