29. this is what appalls me
I am so depressed. She is a smart lady, just misled. I thought I had been able to talk some sense in to her.

It's disgraceful that they will believe propaganda over someone from their own family. Someone, presumably, who has some credibility. No, they'll go for a known liar before they'll believe their very own daughter/son.

In my family, I'm known as the one to ask about all types of things. If they don't know something and they want to find out, who do they call? Me. I'm good for all kinds of answers from technical issues to who manufactures what product on through the quirks of the English language. But will they listen to me about politics? No.

This week my mom sent me some news articles that appeared in her local paper. I have to say, even I was appalled. It is nothing but sheer hatred and lies. And this is from a regular daily in a town of about 40,000.

I don't excuse my mother for her beliefs because the media has been taken over. She can get on the Internet and read just like anyone else. They're not curious and they don't care to find out anything that doesn't support their preexisting views.

My parents would have voted for bush but my brother the Dem pulled the distributor caps on their cars.

Cher

and p.s. I write to my mother but we're not talking now because conversations end up arguments. Thanks, bush. Thanks for dividing families and killing friendships.
