It's The Economy...Stupid

Could it be so simple, again?

This is my 1st time posting a topic and it's a very general/vague overview here..I'm not citing any sources...4 give me...I just wish to start a basic discussion...and get some feed back from you as what I see to be a possibility and I haven't seen this discussed as yet...I'm sorry if it has, and I missed it..but, here goes

Is the economy why our candidate Sen. Kerry is holding off, staying in the shadows as this election count/recount/whatever else is going on..unfolds?

The US $ is hurting ..
Consumer Confidence isn't what it used to be..
Inflation could be on the horizon..

Could it be that maybe Sen. Kerry thinks a "Gore 2000" recount w/ all the media and CONSUMERS watching might send our economy into a nose-dive? This time we don't have the economic forecasts we had in 2000.

I'm just a factory worker in Indiana..I'm no stock analyst...But there HAS to be some reason why the media isn't covering these post-election vote stories, why Kerry and most of the Dem. leadership is so silent, something more than what I've read...why..why..why?

Is it the stupid economy?

any thoughts?
