Select comments heard in my office this morning re the New Orleans disaster (verbatim or damn close):

"Let's just hope that most of the dead are illegals." (Full disclosure: I'm against illegal immigration, too, but this is simply disgusting)

"At least some of those fucks will have to quit drinking, smoking and drugs now."

"It's their goddamned fault for living below sea level." Note: when I asked the person who said this to name a place in the States not vulnerable to one sort of disaster or another - an earthquake or tornado, for instance, the shithead changed the subject and didn't look at me once for the rest of the discussion

"I love how we're being pressed so hard for help this time - gee, it wouldn't have anything to do with a mostly black population, would it? I'll bet you that we wouldn't hear shit from Bush or anyone else if Burlington got flattened."

"Bush actually has the gall to ask us to send cash when he spends like a drunken Dem? I'm not sending a fucking cent. He's going to send my tax money anyway, so it's not like I have a choice about 'contributing.' I'm already being forced to 'care' more than I actually do." Note: this is actually from one of those assholes who believes the government should enforce family values

"There's nothing wrong with price-gouging, it's supply and demand. I don't feel obligated to sell anything for less than the max I could get for it, and neither should anyone else. If you can't afford food, it's not my fucking problem, the person who gets it is whoever offers me the most."

"Where in the Constitution does it say that the feds should be involved in a state responsibility like disaster relief?" You can't make this stuff up, folks!

"Beyond how this affects the Saints and my fantasy team, I couldn't work up two shits to give about this if you fed me a half-smoke smothered in chili." Note: he refers to a fantasy football team - he has Aaron Brooks and Joe Horn - and a "half smoke" is a spicy hot dog sold in DC street kiosks.

"Did you see that picture of prisoners being led over a bridge? Why the fuck are we saving them? We can't use them for labor in rebuilding the city because the PC fucks will play the race card, but at least we could have saved the cost of feeding them for God knows how long."

"Betcha five bucks Bush uses this as an excuse to bring inhalf of fucking Mexico and make us pay for their health care and education."

I put up with this every goddamned day, folks.

:puke:
